Or take a short glass-bottomed boat trip from Corralejo to the deserted island of Los Lobos, which is home to over 130 different species of plants and animals.
Visitors to Fuertenventura, which lies just 60 miles off the coast of Saharan Morocco, can have their own desert experience by embarking on a Camel Safari expedition that combines camel rides with the chance to take pleasure in the Spanish and North African flavours of Canary Island cooking. En route, stop and explore Puerto Rosario, Fuerteventura’s capital city.
